in a boy (not yet two years of age)
loving the bubbles that so magically appear
excitedly pointing at them
excitedly pointing at them
so many so many!
so big!
in the sunshine
in the sunshine
they glisten, full of colour and light
like dreams and hopes
like dreams and hopes
lifted by imagination
and then they fall back to reality
thin film shattering on the floor tiles
and so I thought
maybe it’s better to let the bubbles go out of the window
and let the winds blow them wherever
to let them go further
so that they get smaller and smaller
maybe there will be less sadness?
so many so many
so big
were our dreams
so big
were our dreams
so many so many
so big
were our child-like dreams
